Julia has been working at the be2 headquarters for exactly one year now. She’s convinced that her job is the best be2 has to offer, because she deals with be2 love stories. Every day pictures and love stories from happy be2 members land on her desk, telling of personal online dating success!
1. How do you contribute to be2 members finding the love of their life?
Aside from my regular translation and copywriting tasks, I publish the be2 love stories. The more couples share their online dating success stories, the easier it becomes for others to join be2 and try their luck. Most of the happy couples thank the be2 team and I get to accept their thanks, on behalf of the team!
Meet the be2 Team: Michaela
Michaela is new at be2 – she started as Junior Online Marketing Manager in June. be2 is a great career-starter for her after graduation, because “new ideas are nurtured, the work atmosphere is great and you are able to take responsibility from day one, so you can get started immediately.” …and that’s exactly what she’s done: Michaela has already contributed to so many be2 projects, we can hardly believe she’s been here for just over two months – and that she still has time to fill in our blog questionnaire

It’s my job to understand the needs of our members and to ensure we communicate optimally with them. I want be2 to be perceived as it should be: dynamic, open to suggestions, international, and always intent on improving our service for be2 members. Read more

be2 blog readers know what online editor Fiona writes about: love, relationships and online matchmaking. Fiona has been part of the be2 team for over 3 years – initially as copywriter, until she helped launch the be2 blog. As you can see, she’s always writing, even on holidays! Today she’s writing about herself for a change .
1. Ho do you help be2 members find the love of their life?
I help be2 members get the most out of their online matchmaking membership by sharing news, advice and dating tips. To round it off, I occasionally post funny, weird, fascinating and quirky dating news.
2. What do friends ask about your job for an online matchmaking site?
Do I get to “match” couples? Of course I don’t – the matchmaking software does a much better job of that (although my grandmother actually was a real-life matchmaker – no kidding!).
3. What’s the most important aspect of online matchmaking?
Fun! You should take the search for the love of your life seriously, but don’t take the fun out of it.
4. Which be2 country do you have a personal connection with?
Ireland – I studied and worked in Dublin for a year and have family there. Weather aside, it’s one of the most beautiful countries I know.

Most of you know how online matchmaking works with be. But you don’t know who makes be2′s online matchmaking happen. In future you will find out here who contributes to the programming, design, customer service, and all the other aspects of the be2 service. Due to popular demand, we will regularly introduce members of the be2 team, who ensure that the online matchmaking experience goes smoothly and that be2 members find the love of their life. But first of all let me introduce the person who will be introducing the be2 team.
My job as Human Resources Manager is to find employees who are a perfect match for be2. I will be asking them to fill in the following questionnaire for the blog, but today, I’ll answer my own questions:

I find the best employees, who will continually improve the quality of our product.
2. What do your friends ask about your job at an online matchmaking agency?
Whether I could pick out the best profiles and introduce them before they „go live“
3. Which aspect of online matchmaking is particularly important to you?
Honesty and respectability. Everyone on the site should have the same goal: to find a partner for life..
4. Which be2 country do you feel particularly connected to?
New Zealand; I spent the most exciting year of my life (so far) there.
