Earlier this week, we posted a video and mused that the lady singing about finding love through a computer was way ahead of her time in 1968. But was computer matchmaking really a thing of the future in 1968? Well, not quite. In fact, the first time a couple was ever matched by a computer was on a TV show in 1956!

The questionnaire was made up of 32 relationship-relevant questions on topics like sex, race, religion, politics, lifestyle and, hilariously, “preferences for double or twin beds”. The computer found a perfect couple among the entries and the two later got engaged!
