Typical Men/Typical Women – Love Quote of the Week
This week, we wrote about a facebook app that makes fun of gender clichees and things people see as typical for men or typical for women. Oscar Wilde was an author who always had a lot to say about the difference between men and women:
“Women are never disarmed by compliments. Men always are. That is the difference between the sexes.”

„Typical for Men“ and „Typical Women“ Stereotypes –
A Funny Facebook App
Do you often think „That’s just typical for men!“ or „Typical – WOMEN!“ when yo are talking to your partner? Sometimes communication in a relationship can be a bit like international diplomatic relations – you just don’t speak the same language!
There’s a funny facebook app that lets you test your knowledge of certain typical questions that men ask women and questions that women ask men. We’re not quite sure if it’s even possible to get all the answers right, but if you enjoy a good facebook app and want to laugh about some typical for men/women stereotypes, you should try it!
Here’s a few gender clichees that appear in the facebook app:
Typical for men?
They don’t understand when women get emotional
They are insensitive
They ALL dream about threesomes
They hate commitment
etc.
Typical women stereotypes?
They always want to go shopping
They are sensitive about their weight
They love talking about their relationship
They are constantly looking for compliments
etc.
What do you think? Is there any truth in these typical for men/women stereotypes? And can you guess the right answer?
Test your Success in Online Matchmaking
We know and keep telling our readers that the key to online matchmaking success is honesty. Be honest when answering the questions in the personality test. Add a picture to your profile that shows you in a typical situation where you feel at ease. Always be yourself when answering messages…

Obviously, you would have to think about adapting your replies in the personality test and choose profile pictures that suit the persona of the profile best. What would happen?

Single Women Seek… Attached Men
It’s a truism among single women that all the best men are taken (or gay, but that’s a different matter). However, a new study on the factors that determine attraction indicates that it’s not so much the best men that are taken, but rather that the fact that men are taken makes single women thing they must be the best.
Confused? Well, the evidence the study produced is less than confusing:
184 heterosexual students, half of whom were single, participated in a study on sexual attraction and told the volunteers that a computer program would match them with an ideal partner. All the women in the study were shown the same photograph of a made-up „Mr. Right“ and all men were shown the same „Miss Perfect“. Now comes the interesting part – Read more
